OUR STORY

The Beginnings of Lakefront

Owners Andrew and Ashley Favorite are both lifetime residents of Eagle River. Andrew grew up learning the trade of construction as one of his first jobs in high school. In 2009, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. After spending one year working as a CAD technician, Andrew returned to the field to establish Lakefront Building & Design in 2011. ​

​​During the early years when the economy was still struggling, Andrew took on whatever work was available—including garages, permanent piers, and small remodeling projects. Ashley worked as a teacher. In 2015, Lakefront Building & Design was awarded their first custom home build, and business began to take off. After 8 years in the teaching profession, Ashley resigned to be at home with their children in 2017. While she planned to assist in the office here and there, eventually the business grew to the point where she became involved with clients and office management full-time. Today, Andrew and Ashley operate Lakefront together, alongside their dedicated employees.

Andrew and Ashley serve on the Board of Directors for their local building association and are active members of the Wisconsin Builders Association and National Association of Home Builders. They value their partnerships with trade professionals and are lifelong learners, always discovering how to employ cutting-edge construction practices. We meet to discuss your target budget and design elements, aligning our plans with your financial and aesthetic expectations.

Together, we design a preliminary set of plans for your home, incorporating your ideas and making sure our design reflects your vision.

We guide you through all selections for your home, from materials to finishes, making sure every detail reflects your personal style and preferences.

We collect bids based on your selections from our preferred trade partners and suppliers, securing competitive and fair pricing for your project.

We present a comprehensive proposal that includes the specifications, cost schedule, and timeline for your home build, giving you a clear picture of the entire project.

The construction process for a new custom home typically takes around 10 months. We work closely with our trusted team to stay on schedule, on budget, and maintain top quality work. Regular updates and progress photos are provided to you throughout the build.

We offer full warranty services and periodic check-ins to guarantee your complete satisfaction. Our Warranty Carpenter will coordinate any necessary repairs for a smooth post-construction experience.
